What makes a site a good fit

Site eligibility depends on internet, power, location, and heat demand. Not every property qualifies — apply and we’ll review your site, no commitment required.

1Internet

  • Fiber internet preferred, reliable connection required
  • High upload / download speed and low latency preferred
  • We’ll ask your provider, plan speed, and whether 1, 2, 5, or 10 Gbps is available at your address

Internet on us: if your site is eligible, AM ThermaLink covers your internet bill too — the system needs the connection, so we pay for it.

2Electrical

  • 240V power preferred
  • Panel size matters: 100A, 200A, 400A, or commercial service
  • Room for a dedicated 40–60A+ circuit depending on system size
  • Three-phase power opens the door to larger systems

How billing works: AM ThermaLink pays your full electricity bill each month. You reimburse only the difference between the total bill and what the compute system used — so the system's power is on us, and you keep paying just your normal usage. In practice, all you ever see is the savings — and in some areas we cover the entire electricity bill, so you pay nothing at all.

6Plumbing & thermal integration

  • Connection near pool equipment, mechanical room, hot-water loop, or hydronic loop
  • A sealed heat exchanger transfers heat between the two loops, so the compute cooling fluid and your water never mix

Common questions from hosts

What does it mean to host a system?
AM ThermaLink installs and operates a liquid-cooled compute system at your property. The system runs paid compute workloads for our customers, and the heat it produces is transferred into your pool, building, or hot-water system instead of being wasted.
What can the heat be used for?
Pool and spa heating, home and building heating (hydronic), domestic hot water, hotel/gym/spa water, apartment-building heat, and greenhouse or light-industrial loads — anywhere steady warm water is useful.
Do I need fiber internet?
Fiber is strongly preferred and a reliable, fast connection is required — compute customers depend on it. If 1 Gbps+ fiber is available at your address, that’s a good sign. Tell us your provider and plan in the application and we’ll assess it.
How much electrical capacity do I need?
It depends on system size. Small systems need a dedicated 240V circuit (roughly 40–60A) on a panel with spare capacity; larger systems benefit from 400A or three-phase service. A 200A residential panel with spare space is often workable for smaller systems.
Does the cooling fluid mix with my pool or building water?
No. A separated heat exchanger transfers heat between the compute cooling loop and your water loop across a sealed barrier — the fluids never mix. The design includes sensors, shutoffs, and monitoring.
Is the system monitored?
Yes — continuously. GPU utilization, temperatures, water-loop performance, heat transfer, uptime, and safety sensors are all monitored remotely.
Who maintains the system?
AM ThermaLink is responsible for the compute system and its cooling loop — installation, monitoring, and maintenance. Your existing heating equipment remains yours.
How much can I save?
It depends on your heating fuel, rates, climate, and how much the system runs. Recovered heat is designed to offset part of your heating bill — use the savings calculator for a conservative estimate for your site.
Does every property qualify?
No — and we’re upfront about that. Eligibility depends on internet, electrical capacity, location and climate, physical space, plumbing access, and heat demand. Every application gets a technical review before anything moves forward.
